Climate Change adaptation expert

The Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia announces open recruitment for Climate Change Adaptation Expert

Responsibilities:

• Analysis of major project trends in the field of Climate Change Adaptation in Central Asia
• Identifying gaps and constraints; opportunities for enhancing donor efficiency in the assistance to adaptation projects in the region
• Assessment of technology needs for enhancing climate change resilience and reducing vulnerability
• Additional research in the field
• Preparation of publications and reports based on appropriate research studies
• Maintaining information exchange and cooperation with partners and stakeholders

Requirements:

• University degree in natural, humanitarian or exact sciences
• Experience in projects related to Climate Change adaptation; understanding of Climate Change issues, CC vulnerability and adaptation trends in Central Asian countries
• Good research skills; ability to analyze and synthesize the data obtained
• Good knowledge of English and Russian
• Good organizational, professional and communication skills; proven ability to work in a team
• Ability to travel within and outside the region
