Payments for Ecosystem Services (PES) is an economic instrument for more effective management of ecosystems and biodiversity protection in order to implement the operational management measures. The concept of “PES” is defined as a contractual agreement between the buyer (eg farmers, loggers, tourists, residents of the village or city) and seller (eg, association of farmers, forestry, local government, private company) for the provision of ecosystem services and land use in order to conserve these ecosystems.
Place and time of the seminar: Tashkent, Shodlik Palace Hotel, registration starts at 9:00.
